Jagran Lakecity University & Wizcraft partner to launch Jagran Wizcraft MIME School of Entertainment & Events, India's first integrated Entertainment

Jagran Lakecity University (JLU) and Wizcraft MIME inked an MoU to launch India’s first integrated entertainment and events institute, Jagran Wizcraft MIME School of Entertainment and Events. The school will operate under the university’s umbrella flagship Faculty of Journalism and Creative studies and shall offer a distinct model of hands-on learning and strong focus on industry and global engagement in the entertainment & events space. With a commitment to preparing the next generation of creative thinkers and practitioners, the key UG & PG programmes under this School, are industry-focused, practice-based and taught by a specialist community of leading practitioners.

Our state-of-the-art campuses are located in Bhopal, inspiring students to not only work in but also to shape creative industries worldwide. The launch was a key initiative to celebrate the 101st birth anniversary of Late Shri Gurudev Gupta, the noted freedom fighter, journalist, Parliamentarian and founder of Dainik Jagran.

Speaking on the occasion noted film maker and legend Subhash Ghai congratulated Jagran Lakecity University & Wizcraft for coming together and launching a much-needed university led degree programmes and a dedicated School in Entertainment & Event studies. Also present on the occasion were Sushma Gaikwad, Co-Founder Wizcraft MIME and Geetika Ganju Dhar, award-winning Anchor, Actor and celebrity.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Sabbas Joseph, Co-Founder and Director, Wizcraft International Entertainment, and one of the founders of the Rs. 100,000 crore event management industry, said “Wizcraft is now focused on developing the next generation of event industry specialists, helping educate and develop skills that the earlier generation only learnt through on-the-job project work. This vision is being driven forward through Wizcraft MIME. We hope to take this to a new level and my Wizcraft co-founding partners Andre Timmins, Viraf Sarkari and I are excited to partner with Jagran Lakecity University, which has already carved a niche for itself in India, with excellent track record of academic innovation and practice-based pedagogy. It would be a unique educational and experiential School, which will bring the best of the world of entertainment & events to India.”

Jagran Wizcraft MIME School of Entertainment & Events shall offer BA (Hons) - Entertainment and Events and MA – Entertainment & Events, that will involve a global network of creative media professionals, regular communication and event initiatives, professional development opportunities and platforms to connect with industry.
